Game Over
In case you are not already aware. AliveWire has closed its doors. Our last day of business was February 24 th 2006.

It all happened very suddenly. I deeply regret that we were not in a position to give our customers some warning. I was aware money was getting very tight and knew the end was near. Then the domino's started to fall. It quickly became very clear that continuing to do business would be impossible.

Looking for a Bright Side
AliveWire did serve its purpose while it was open. I was given the opportunity to meet you, the AliveWire customer. It was truly a pleasure. More important, are the friendships that formed between people who met at AliveWire. I know of many gamers who met at AliveWire and continue to play together on XBOX Live. In that regard AliveWire was a success.

Representing South Dakota
One of my fondest memories was our participation in the World Cyber Games 2005. AliveWire was chosen to host two local qualifiers for the WCG Halo 2 event. We drew some of the best sized crowds in the nation for both of these events.

We were then given the honor of being chosen as one of eight game centers in the nation to host WCG Halo 2 and DOA: Ultimate Regional Events. Again we hosted one of the largest events in the country and Team MFP of Yankton, SD rose to the top. They traveled to New York, NY to compete in the National Event. There, they lost only to the eventual world champions by the same score as the runner up in the World Championship. Very high caliber competitive gamers produced right here in South Dakota.

Customer Accounts
Some customers may have had time remaining on their accounts when AliveWire shut its doors. According to the AliveWire User Agreement these customers are only entitled refunds for full hours remaining. If you believe you have an account balance in excess of one full hour send and email here . Please include your full name, current address and telephone number in the email. I can then begin the process of refunding your money. Please be patient with this process.
